Message from David Millar, Chair of the H&F Neighbourhood Watch Association:

The Mayor’s Office for Policing & Crime (MOPAC) have announced a consultation on policing and crime in London which will inform their four year crime reduction strategy for London.

The following link [no longer shown as consultation closed] will take you to the MOPAC website where you can read the draft plans and view a presentation on how the plans may impact neighbourhood policing.

MOPAC are holding consultation events in each borough, where the Deputy Mayor, Stephen Greenhalgh, and senior metropolitan police officers will share a platform to answer questions and discuss the issues.

The Hammersmith & Fulham event is being held on the 5th February 2013 at 6pm at Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street, W6. The public and other stakeholders can pre-register for the event here. If you are unable to register online, you can call MOPAC on 020 7202 0114 to register by telephone.

Given the above, we will not be holding our annual NHW Lyric Theatre meeting in February. When detailed plans for H&F become available we will arrange for the Borough Commander to meet with us and give a briefing with a Q&A.
